Cd (II), Hg (II) and Pb (II) Complexes of Some Synthetic Curcuminoid Analogues

Cd (II), Hg (II) and Pb (II) complexes of 1,7-diarylheptanoids and 1,5-diarylpentanoids (Ar = phenyl and styryl) with [ML2] stoichiometry have been prepared and characterized on the basis of their analytical, spectral, magnetic and conductance data. In all the complexes, ligands behave as monobasic bidentate in which the intramolecularly hydrogen bonded enolic proton is replaced by the metal ion.
