A Simple Spectrophotometric Method for the Assay of Ramipril in Pharmaceutical Formulations

A simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the estimation of ramipril is developed by the formation of ion pair complexes with bromocresol green. The ion pair complex is formed by the interaction of drug with bromocresol green. Bromoc resol green is insoluble in water and soluble in chloroform. . The organic layer is extracted from chlorofo rm and the absorbance of organic layer is measured at 420 nm agai nst chloroform blank.
